Apple of My Eye | Happy Anniversary Sharadah + Eric

Last week I got the chance to photograph this rustic, fall styled session for Sharadah and Eric's one year Anniversary! The weather was beautiful, and the golden hour lighting was absolutely gorgeous. I could not have imagined a more suitable location for this apple picking love story...

This was a session filled with laughter, happiness, and genuine love...
During our sweet afternoon, Eric told the story of how they met!
"Before I get into how I met the love of my life, I have a confession to make... Most people are a little hesitant to admit it, but this is how it really happened" he said.
" I met Sharadah Catalan-Rosado on the very popular dating app called Tinder; I know, I know, it sounds dumb but stay with me here. I saw her and read the description under her beautiful smiling face, and I couldn’t believe it; we loved all the same things! I thought it was too good to be true, so I showed my friend Jacob. He saw her pictures, read the description, and told me word for word, “If you don’t talk to her, I will.” Now...I didn’t want that. So, I swiped and got a match! To be honest, I thought I wasn’t going to match with her, since I never had too much luck when it came to online dating. I left her a message and waited.... I waited for a while..... Then, she finally responded! We talked about the things we had in common, and I told her about how I didn’t think she’d even reply."
Sharadah apologized playfully, and Eric continued the story with a laugh.
"Now, I never asked her out to get lunch or anything; I was still waiting for the right time to ask for her number... Sheri beat me to it and was the one to ask for my number first, and set up a date to finally meet. I liked the initiative, so I agreed to meet up. We went to Shilla Bakery in Centreville and exchanged awkward hellos. She was dressed very casually, which made me a little embarrassed because I dressed up a bit and I felt over-dressed. After talking for a little while, we went to a Korean bbq place called Kogiya. That didn't go too well… Lunch was very awkward. I didn’t say anything the entire time, and only gave her one worded answers. I could tell she definitely wanted to leave, so I tried one more thing that I knew would relieve some tension...
I asked her if she wanted to get some ice cream."
Okay, but who can say no to icecream?
"Luckily, Kogiya wasn’t too far away from the dessert truck, Snocream. We went to order our icecream and my cousin, Jacky, saw that I had a date with me and gave us the delicious treats for free. Sheri was impressed, or at least that’s what I like to tell myself,"
Haha
"We sat down on the grass and started to eat. I don’t know if it was the ice cream, or the open atmosphere, but we started to talk more and more ...as if we knew each other for a while. It was the most fun I had in a very long time.
After that, we saw each other more and made some wonderful memories together. Now, after a year together, I can honestly say that every time I look at her, I fall in love all over again."
